Stardoll: Old or new?

This is a question that strikes us all on stardoll; Was stardoll better back in 2007/2008 or is it better now 2010/2011?

I interviewed fellow Hj'er Kimberley (Kimberley.42165) , about this!

Q1. What year did you join Stardoll?

A. I joined in 2007.

Q2. Do you go on stardoll more than you used too, or did you go on it more when you were younger?

A. I go on more now, When I first joined I didn't go on for ages as I wasn't allowed to join clubs.

Q3. What is the best thing about the new stardoll?

A. I like the beauty parlour, Its back to what it was like in 2007, where you could zoom in and apply your makeup more carefully.

Q4. What was the older stardoll like?

A. The older stardoll was cool, the most you could sell stuff was 60 stardollars and DKNY and other brands were cheap, there was makeup for non-superstar, and you could buy Superstar for £1.50 on your phone, although you only got 68 stardollars. They also used to sell awsome makeup and accesories.

Q5. Do you prefer the old stardoll or the newer stardoll?

A.Probably the newer stardoll because i'm used to it now and I find it a bit easier to find my way round.

Q6. Do you think stardoll are more greedy than they used to be?

A. Definatly! Its now £5.00 for superstar which is £3.50 more than it used to be, They are selling clothes for way more and charging loads of money to buy exta stardollars.

Q7. Do you think that stardoll should offer more to non-superstar?

A. Yes, I think they should have a non-superstar makeup shop and a better accesory shop for them, since I spent a lot of time not being superstar and thats the things I would've bought.

AndiiHill bids goodbye...

A Stardoll user is bidding goodbye after 2 months. The user who goes by the name of "Andii" told The Stardoll Eye why she was leaving. 

"I am leaving for a reason. My friends left, why can't I? My good friend TenahTempah couldn't log on her account and we are best friends so I am leaving Stardoll for good."

Andii already faces being banned after a user framed her for hacking her friend's account.

"That was a long time ago and what she did was horrible."

This is Cher (Shes is young here, I though it would be easier to work from the younger pictures.

This is my doll as cher. I used Black lengthening mascara, the other mascara (forgot what its called :L) Black liquid eyeliner, black pencil eyeliner, Vanilla Lipstick, and dark red blusher!

Original Club. Pervy or not?

Ok, so I had a little look around some clubs, looking for inspiration. I got to OC and decided to write this article about them.

They seem to have a lot of pervy or self harming topics/posts. I don't really know why. Its sort of off putting. There is a lot of stuff which is really disturbing.

AS you know, I have been accused of copying my own presentation! Yes I know it was funny but it is serious. DKRPres and MethePres Maker . Just remember not to report those accounts. They are both mine. DKRPres is a shared one I used with other people but don't report them. Stardoll Royalty. Fab or Blab?

Ok, so many people want to be a member of Stardoll Royalty. Including me. But as I interview a member of the secret club. All is revealed. (Thanks to party-diva02)

Q: So, is Stardoll Royalty good?

A: In some ways,yeah. I mean we got to know about parties first! The clubs dead,though...

Q: Do you get anything exclusive? No other members can have?

A: We get previews,news and some free items-sometimes.

Q: Do you enjoy being in Royalty?

A: I don't really notice. It's just normal,like a SS. I just notice the blue diamond.

Q: Is the amount of money you pay for Royalty worth it?
A: Partly. Its nice to have the early news. And I s'pose its nice to get more stuff.

Q: Do you feel that Stardoll Royalty is over sold? (People make it out to be better than it is)

A: Yes,I do. People always want to be one. Its just like being a normal Superstar, but with a diamond! Not really special...

So, there you have it. What Stardoll Royalty is really like.

Trending Makeovers.

More and more now, members of stardoll are offering makeovers. But each time, someone comes on a different account, saying they have been hacked.

You can't say anything other than 'It's your fault.' To them, as it is. Most times, if you have a makeover from someone, it has to be someone you trust. Like someone you've known for ages on stardoll. But now, new members of clubs are offering makeovers. Sometimes they get 0 posts, but other times they get loads.

If you don't know who the person truly is on the account.

Never ever give them your password.

If its offers for superstar memberships, don't give them your password,

as its very likely that they are lying about:

Who they are,

Why they are there

and

What they will do for you for 'free'

In fact, its not free, it costs your account.

Around January last year, a close friend of mine lost her account.

She gave her password to who she thought to have been her 'friend'

But they hacked her. She couldn't do anything. She had 1000+ starpoints

and quite a few stardollars.

This is why you don't give your password away.

This is the real Hayley Williams. I decided to do my very first tutorial on her, and as its my first one its very bad, but hopefully my tutorials will improve in the future!

Haters.

Recently on Stardoll, members have been hating on other members. Yesterday (29/1/11) I experienced what it was like to be hated. Somebody had made a 'fake' account and decided to hate on me. They made a topic, but thankfully, my friends stuck up for me.

I honestly don't know what I'd have done without them.

But we need to stop this childish nonsense.

Thoughts?

*This is my experience, other haters could be worse. Don't ever click on the links to photos or videos they give, as 9 times out of 10 it will be rude, disturbing or horrid.

If you ignore them, they can't hurt your feelings.

Most times you find out who the person is. And talk to them reasonably why they don't like you, then try and sort things out responsibly, but other times, you may not find out who the person is.

Rude accounts.

On stardoll, many people on clubs make 'fake' accounts. Which are members of the club pretending to be someone else to get attention. This is out of order as some of the things they say are VERY disturbing. As you can see to the left of this paragraph.

This is basically an echo of what Laura is saying. The best thing to do is block, report and then if they make topics - DON'T POST. As this gives them the attention they have been looking for.

Disney's revolution?

Rumors going round that disney might buy stardoll and change the theme to princess's, they will change the dolls AND the dresssups will be Princess's.

It might be called Disdoll or something like that.

Silly accounts...

Over the last year, I have seen many people creating silly accounts or classed as noobs. This has increased double in size of 2010 and now as we have entered 2011, there seems to be more in the last month. This concerns me as young children do use Stardoll and many noob accounts use profanity(swearing, dirty language). If you see a noob account, report them.  Some noob accounts are for play and usually are made by the Stardoll users to make you feel disgusted. Block them instead and also report.




If Stardoll has not reported the noob account, tell us and our whole TEAM will report them.

Is stardoll too greedy?

These days, everything on stardoll seems to be superstar only. Clothes, hair, makeup, even dolls to dress up. Stardoll are constantly advertising it.

People have been on stardoll for years, and they are the true special people on stardoll, yet they still don't get stardoll royalty? You have to be ss to be able to get stardoll royalty, sometimes I think its ridiculous.

Mette.Stardoll takes over stardoll royalty.

About 3 weeks ago, Mette.Stardoll (Callie.Stardolls collegue) took over stardoll royalty. She seems to be a popular choice among club members and she actually answers questions you ask her.

Also, she posted in AD (AmyDiamond) saying that lots of rude things were there and if it continues they will delete AD.

Disney to buy Stardoll is fake...

Many Stardoll users were panicking as this note from Disney saying they are buying Stardoll was rumoured to be true. We at The Stardoll Eye first were panicking until many famous Stardoll blogs posted to say it was un true. If you look at the part of where Disney says, "Shhh!" that is the first sign it's fake. A letter by a big company would never use exclamation marks, it is considered unprofessional.  Another sentence that is never used by big companies is, "We are still deciding if we would like to change the name of Stardoll to maybe Disneydoll, Disdoll, Stardisney or Princessdoll." That shows it is fake.  


My concerns are that is is photoshopped or edited by a teenager with no life. When Disney bought Club Penguin, the news broke straight away. Instead this fake note hasn't been all over Stardoll. Stardoll themselves haven't confirmed it as well. It IS called official when Stardoll and Disney send a statement to say they have made it official.


And it has been 9 days since it was first posted, wouldn't it be official by now?
